Terms of Service

1. Who we are

Model Release Form (“the Service”, “we”, “us”) is a web application operated from Belgium that lets photographers create, sign, and email model release PDFs. The service is available at modelreleaseform.app. Contact: support@modelreleaseform.app.

2. The service

We provide a tool for generating release forms, collecting electronic signatures from models, and emailing the resulting PDF to the parties involved. We do not provide legal advice. Whether a given release is valid in your jurisdiction is your responsibility — consult a lawyer for jurisdiction-specific requirements (minor consent, agency rules, jurisdictional carve-outs, etc.).

3. Your account

You need a Clerk-backed account to use the Service. You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for all activity under your account. You must be at least 16 years old. You may not share an account or use the Service to impersonate anyone else.

4. Subscriptions and payment

The Free tier allows up to 3 releases per month with a watermarked PDF. The Pro tier (monthly or annual) unlocks unlimited releases, unwatermarked PDFs, multi-model group releases, and bulk export. Current pricing is shown at /pricing.

Paid subscriptions are processed by Stripe and renew automatically at the end of each billing period (monthly or annual) until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from /settings → Manage billing; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period and you keep Pro access until then.

5. Refunds

We do not refund partial billing periods. If you believe you were charged in error, or if the Service was materially broken during a paid period, email support@modelreleaseform.app within 14 days and we will review the case in good faith. EU consumers retain any statutory withdrawal rights they have under applicable law; by starting use of a digital service immediately after subscribing, you acknowledge that you may waive the 14-day withdrawal right under EU Directive 2011/83/EU once the Service has been performed in full.

6. Your content

The release forms, model names, signatures, and PDFs you create remain yours. We store them on our infrastructure (see the Privacy Policy) so that you can retrieve them. You grant us a limited licence to store and process this content for the sole purpose of operating the Service.

You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to collect a given model’s name, email, and signature, and for honouring the scope of use described in the release.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use the Service to harass, defraud, or impersonate anyone;
• collect signatures without the signer’s knowledge or consent;
• abuse the email delivery system (spam, bulk unsolicited messages);
• reverse engineer, scrape, or attempt to bypass usage limits;
• use the Service in violation of applicable law.

8. Service availability

We aim for high availability but make no uptime guarantee. The Service is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We may perform maintenance, change features, or pause the Service when necessary. We will give reasonable notice for material changes that affect paid users.

9. Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from your use of the Service is capped at the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim or (b) €50. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits, lost data, or reputational harm.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by applicable consumer law.

10. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from /settings. We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these terms or use the Service in a way that risks harm to us or other users. On termination, your stored forms are deleted; export anything you want to keep first.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the current version. Material changes affecting paid users will be communicated by email at least 14 days before they take effect.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by Belgian law. Disputes will be submitted to the competent courts of Belgium, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence.
